Dear Animal Hospital of Mebane Family, I, sincerely, hope you and your furry family are healthy and safe. This evening, I personally wanted to reach out to let you know, we, your extended family at the Animal Hospital of Mebane, recognize that many of you have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and our hearts and prayers go out to you. We are here for you and are dedicated to keeping your pets safe and healthy. While there is much uncertainty in the air, we do know that, currently, there’s no evidence that pets can become sick from COVID-19, as well as no evidence that pets can be a source of spreading the infection to humans. While we are thankful that COVID-19 is not contagious to or from our pets, unfortunately that is not the same for humans. I acknowledge the seriousness of this and, along with my team, we are making every possible effort to keep AHOM a safe environment for our staff and clients. We are incredibly grateful that we have been deemed an essential business by declarations from our state, county, and city leaders. We agree that veterinary care is incredibly essential, and we will remain available to provide all services for your pet during our normal business hours. We have made a few exemptions, however, to our daily operations to keep our staff and doctors safe. Effective immediately, only staff and pets will be allowed to enter the building. We have implemented a drive-up/car-side concierge service to give you the service you’re accustomed to without compromising the safety of our staff. You will see clearly marked tents and signs directing you when you arrive for your appointments. We are working diligently to make this a convenient and effective system and we thank you for your patience and understanding as we improve this each day. Additionally, we are continuously evaluating what services are considered essential and are dedicated to keeping you well informed through email and social media as developments are made. I leave you with a word of wisdom during these uncertain and precarious times: From Phillipians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Sincerely In Him, Dr. Gregg Jordan, DVM, Owner
